everyone had a nice time playing tiong chu dice game. those who won the top prize were earlwood tan, ana alivarvar, wendy choi, and yours truly. bawi ang bayad namin. hehehe... after the party, a lot of us still stayed behind scrutinizing every picture in the yearbook and made fun of each other. the webcam that gene set up was cool. some of us spent time chatting online with tomas ariate, eileen tan, desmond ng, jo yap-arduo, ferman lao who happened to be in quezon city lang, eddie tan and some others whose names escapes me at the moment.

all told, i would say that the whole event was a great success gauging it from the smiles on our batchmates' faces and the excitement evident in their voices as they met friends they hadn't seen for almost 2 decades.

albert and roxy... kamusta na... pareho pa kayong naka-black

macneil... kelan ang kasal? hehe... and i thought i got married late (2003)... ang dami pa pala nating batchmates na still enjoying life being single....

Well, well... what can i say :)

Am just glad that this event is a success! (in exchange for my FREE Star Virgo Cruise trip scheduled 9/11-16). When i got the invitation, i told benson na maybe i can go naman kasi tapos na yung dapat kong gawin by that day. Of course, di siya pumayag, that's why i was present that night. Well, am just glad that i stayed and enjoyed the night with lots of old friends... and busy taking pics and shooting w/ my old model (so big & heavy, grr!) videocam the whole night. Anyone who wants a copy of the video, i can lend you the tape and kayo na bahala mag reproduce.

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!!!

For all those who attended the event, for those who helped in looking/contacting our batchmates, for the generous donations (in cash and kinds), for those who are miles and miles away but were with us that night - thru internet...

everyone was so busy that night that we forgot to pose for group pics. the group pics posted are around half of the attendees only :-(

I have posted some pics in our yahoo site, but then the quota is almost full so i made another site for the pics alone (with name of attendees na rin. Pardon me if i can't recall the names of those spouses who are not our batchmates). Jo, maybe you can just get some pics from this new site to add to our batch's website.

Haaaayyyy, natapos din.....

Kakapagod but it's all worth it. seeing old friends, some of them almost 18 yrs na di nagkikita, like joseph n jennifer. super saya ng party, hope nag-enjoy din ang mga attendees. may na post na akong mga pictures, click nyo yun pics to view a larger image. Sa tingin ko naman, makikilala nyo lahat ng ka batch natin dun, almost most of them di nagbago ang itsura, except cguro si naomi gaw, and virginia tiu, silang dalawa lng ang di ko na mukhaan. Mas matindi si Helen Razal, lahat di nakilala, hahaha. we gave away prizes and award, one of them is most loyal award, si nancy evangelista, kasi she's now the librarian of our school, bagay nga sya dun kasi ang tahimik nya, hehehe, Amrerican Idol award pa kay Joey Ong, yan kasi ang crooner ng batch natin eh. marami pa sanang award kaso we felt that mas enjoy yung mga tao sa kwentuhan nila eh, kaya we will save the other awards for our xmas party. The food was great (daw, di kasi ako nakakain eh, hehehe) the sound system was also good, nagkalkal kami ng mga old cds namin para lang mag feeling 80's ung party. No one came dressed in 80's attire... next party we will require everyone to come in school uniform, complete with ID and books hehehe.

Some of the people left early, the others stayed at bensons unit, kwentuhan pa hanggang 2 am un, as usual si annabelle pa din ang bida, hehehe, The whole night na observe ko na kakatuwa ang mga kwentuhan ng groups kasi ang mga topics eh about kids, yayas, production problems, china products, labor problems, dieting, hindi na yung gimiks, crushes, etc. Of course nandyan pa rin ung mga tsismis about other batchmates, kaya pag wala kyo dun, malamang pag tsismisan kyo, imagine binuklat namin ung yearbook at inisa-isa namin kayo. Speaking of absentees, we would like to congratulate
Pepe Tan for being a proud father that night, Congratulations!!!

Mas madami ang attendees ngayon, compared to last xmas party, so we will be expecting a much bigger crowd this december, and hopefully we could invite all our batchmates and maybe some of our teachers to join us, and maybe "islaw" na muntik ng imbitahin ni Susan Lim that night, hehehe.

We asked people to bring some pictures from high school, debuts, birthdays, class party, field trips, kahit ano basta may ka batch tyo dun, henry and isabel brought some, kaya i scan and compile natin un, para sa xmas party natin meron tyong konting film clip, db? we will make it bigger this time, we would ask some batchmates from abroad to send videos of their families and some messages for our batchmates. Medyo magastos, kaso maganda naman, anyway, saka n natin pagusapan yan, may hang over pa ako eh, hehehe

thank you sa organizing committee, Gene, Isabel, Henry, Benson, Andrew, matagal na nilang pinaghandaan ito, ako last minute lang ako nakigulo, hehehe, also thank u kay annabelle and susan ang, who helped with the registration, thank u also dun sa mga nag donate ng prizes and cash, but most of all, thank you all for coming, you all made this party/reunion a special one.

Sana nag enjoy kayo, and any suggestion or comment on the party, please tell us so we can improve our next one. Promise d ako mag emcee next time, para mukhang disente naman, hehehe.

last wednesday, philip thought of the idea to scan yearbook pictures and print out larger sized copies of individual pictures of attendees and make some sort of gallery along the hallway leading to the reception area. it was a great idea at the time except that he actually didn't own a yearbook! when i phoned him last thursday to check on how it was going, he told me he hasn't started. i had to draw and fax him a map of our
place. he sent a messenger to me from abad santos to valenzuela to get the yearbook last friday because he wasn't aware of other batchmates near his area who might have it.

To our beloved tiong chu organizers and sponsors,

Thank you for an evening of fun, friends and food. Your efforts are well appreciated and I hope you don't tire of holding similar events in the future. I raise a glass (and a whole bottle of jack daniels to philip) to our tireless organizers. Hip hip hoorah!!!

The evening was perfect except for ana alivarvar who took the chiong guan at our table. It would have been a better ending with me (as well as marilyn, anabel, roxy, susan, etc.) taking home the prize.

The chiong guan was snatched away no less than 5 times at our table with ana finally bagging the lounge chair and 500 pesos. I think it was her distinct style of picking up and throwing the dice with both hands. She almost took all the major prizes home with her. Next time basketball na lang ha, ana. Wala kaming kalaban-laban.

What's next? Halloween party?

Many thanks to all the organizers of the mooncake cum reunion party. To Gene and Benson, Isabel and Andrew, Henry, Philip and everybody. Sabel and Gene took time out to shop for the prizes. He He He! I m really very thankful sa mga nagorganize. Thank You !!!

First of all, I would like to thank everyone who came and joined our mooncake reunion. You are the reason for its success. Thanks also to Susan Ang and Anabel Go for being our gracious receptionists, kahit na ini interrogate nila mga bisita. Special thanks also to Benson and Gene Gan, for providing us with red wines, lechon and beers, and for accomodating us after midnight. This time di na kami tinulugan ni Gene. Ang sexy sexy ni Gene.

Thank you also for our generous sponsors, sana dumami pa ang mga katulad ninyo.

Again, thank you very much for coming. It was wonderful seeing you all. Next year sali uli kayo.

1. Top Gone award - meaning the person who has lost a lot of hair or "arabo" for ara bohok :D went to henry sitosta. funny thing happened during the raffle of special prizes at the end of the program, henry won a
big can of lotion and hair styling gel good for approximately 6 months for someone with a full head of hair. in his case, it could be good forever. talk about adding insult to injury.
2. Santa Claus award - went to Joseph Difuntorum whose size 48 waistline proved unbeatable even when pitted against erwin yu and andrew ong, who kept insisting he was a mere size 28. hey, joseph claimed that was just the size of his thighs.
3. Mighty Bond award - went to the couple who was simply inseparable the whole night - Nelson Tan and wife Jeannie. Even while being interviewed by philip, the couple was still holding each other's hands. ang sweet talaga! nahiya lang mag-kiss sa harap naming lahat.
4. Baby Boomer award - went to the attending batchmate with the most number of kids - virginia tiu who currently has 5.
5. Extra miles award goes to the batchmates who came from the farthest gepgraphical location to get to the party. locally, the winners were baguio residents richard tan and elizabeth so. internationally, it was
polly ann phy who came all the way from canada. polly ann still looked exactly like her high school picture. she's still single.
6. Newest couple award went to the new lovebirds of the party - macneil tan and his girlfriend of one month, wendy choi, a product of st. jude 2 batches younger.

awards for these winners were nice bags from secosana. o, libre plugging ha, philip?

Special mention talaga kina Benson and Gene, Philip, Henry Ong and Sabel. Mahirap talagang mag-organize ng ganyan. Buying the prizes, contacting batchmates, ordering the food, setting up, etc. Regards and thank you very much. Everybody really enjoyed the party!!!

To batchmate ,

First of all, thank you and congratulations to all those that made this event happened ! It was a ' Great Event' Need not mention who you guys are, alam niyo na galing nyo !

It was also nice seeing all of you , since I have'nt seen you guys for more than a decade already, some have manage to stay the same, but a lot has changed so much I could'nt recognize them, if not for the name tag ( good idea talaga !, it saved me from the embarassment of forgetting some of the names of my old schoolmate ).

To share the mooncake activities in our table ( Green team ) , I think ours was the most quiet one and the first to finish. We have the Mr. and Mrs. ( Jonathan, Earlwood, Henry ),Lam chung, Shirmon,Ming Shaw Jennifer Difuntorom, Cathy, Albert Kee, Erwin ; The Tiong chu round went quickly with all the prizes being consumed by the lucky ones ( I remeber Albert Kee getting most of the soaps, Yes SABON pang ligo ang isa sa mga premyo; Cathy got most of the PiKNiK potato strings ) , Lam Chung got the first chiong guan but eventually Earlwood beat him with a higher kicker. My theory why Earlwood won : Probably he was diligent enough to pass around the prizes being won or wala siyang choice, siya yun pinakamalapit sa prizes.

The food was great !!! There were give away in the end for all, Yeah by the way Mcneil gave out a lot of nice toys for children SALAMAT pareng MCNEIL, ok yun minipets, enjoy na enjoy yun anak ko., sobrang enjoy niya, tinatawag niya buong gabi, buong gabi din kahul ng kahul kaya napuyat din kami lahat. Hope you and Wendy get to share the comforter ( tsiong guan ) one of these days !

I cannot let this pass without saluting my friend PHILIP , always the life of the party, He was a great Emcee, as usual great entertainer, great organizer, great creativity, great sponsor, BUT he's not the GREAT WOMANIZER he used to be that evening, kasi andyan si commander, but I'm sure for that night lang yun, he'll be back to his great womanizing any moment now...he.. he.. he Philip wag mo na pabasa kay Arlene to ...

Here's looking to the next event, Sana mas madami na tayo para mas masaya, more sponsors , para mas maraming prizes na give aways !
