I would also like to personally thank the following:
HENRY ONG, for allowing us to use and abuse (as per Philip's email) his mansion. thank you so much!!!
and for our sponsors:
Pamela Gruba Medina - P2,000 that was added to the game prizes
anonymous - P5,000 that was added to the game prizes
Julie Lim Chan - 15 pcs gift certificate worth P500@ that was raffled off
Analisa Alivarvar - 6 bottles red wine that was raffled off. Thanks ana, i won 1 :)
Virginia Tiu - 2 vcd player that was raffled off
Daniel Brito - distributed imported mooncakes for all participants
Earlwood Tan - 2 cases Summit Sparkling Water that was included in the prizes for the games
THANKS TO YOU GUYS, YOU'RE GENEROUS SUPPORT MADE IT A REAL SUCCESS!!!
last but not the least, i would like to thank ISABEL for helping me to shop for the prizes. We had fun shopping, but that was it! hanggang dun lang yun - as I only won 1 summit sparkling water, 1 gatorade + 1 ang pao worth P50!!! ang saya di ba?! oh well... what's important was that we saw everyone happy and no one went home empty handed :)
i wrote a blow-by-blow account of what transpired last saturday night pero nagluko email ko. anyway, to recap:
the earliest birds were andrew and isabel ong who arrived before 5pm. the catering service was prompt and finished setting up before 6pm. by almost 7pm, benson, gene, with christine tan, karen tan, and stephen co arrived and prepared for the registration. among the early comers also were josephine tan, mimi king, and carol ang followed by janet yao and sarah de guzman. we have a good attendance for the evening as most of those who confirmed were able to make it despite the traffic. among the new faces were michael lu, stanley santos, estephanie eiaw, and geraldine ong.
we had dinner as scheduled at 730pm followed by the mooncake dice game at 9pm. the transition from dinner mode to game mode went on smoothly and not chaotic, thankfully. there were shrieks and guffaws all around every table once somebody either got a good combination or a bad one. everyone had a great time poking fun at each other during the game. after the game, all the 1st prize winners were grouped together and had their picture taken. raffle draw ensued with prizes donated by generous batchmates raffled off to lucky attendees. the highlight of the draw was the 2 units of cd players donated by virginia tiu.
impromptu entertainment via a song number was provided by mr. joey ong due to insistent personal demand by me. hehehe... sorry, pareng joey, mahina ang sound system ko tsaka palpak ang microphone. hindi ko sinabotahe. promise! thanks for being a sport.
pareng philip, ok lang na manigarilyo ka sa harap ng bahay ko pero malamang kung nahuli ka ni pareng richard ay masermonan ka niya for breaking your vow to abandon smoking and drinking. sana kinantahan kita ng "don't give up on us" bilang tribute sa habit mo. hehehe...
almost everyone stayed on after the game and raffle draw to catch up on each others' lives, chatting and drinking. i feel gratified with all the smiles i saw that night. i'm glad everyone was enjoying. nakakawala ng pagod. sa tutoo lang, paghiga ko tulog agad ako at paggising ko ang sakit ng katawan ko pero ok lang dahil masaya ako. almost didn't want the evening to end. hehehe... after the party, when everything inside the house was silent, nagtinginan na lang kami ni misis. she smiled and said, "henry, ano ba ang nangyari ngayong gabi? parang biglang dumating ang maraming tao tapos ngayon nag-alisan na lahat." it almost felt like a dream...
Congratulations and Thank You all organizers of the mooncake party, special mention to Mr Henry Ong, for letting us use his place, use and abuse, hehehe, sensya na Henry, ginawang ashtray ung front foyer mo, hehehe, kaysa naman ilagay daw dun sa fountain, mas mahirap daw linisin, hehehe. And I'm sure na tumaas ang kuryente mo that night, imagine ilang aircon and fan ang pinatakbo mo that night, anyway, thanks din sa mga ibang organizers, sensya na kayo di me naki alam this year, kung may balak kayong mag Christmas Party, tawagan nyo lang ako, always here to help.
p.s. may naghanap ba ng punch that night??? hehehe
